The Good News

If you haven yet discovered the good news of the gospel. Take a few minutes and discover below the wonderful truths of God's Word about our relationship with God:

1. The Problem of Sin
“All have sinned...”(Romans 3:23)   In order truly understand the problem of sin think back on your life.  In the past how many people have you wronged?  Have you ever told a lie (even a white lie)? Have you ever stolen something? If the answer is yes then you are living proof of the problem of sin. For further explaination click here.

2. The Consequences of Sin
But why is sin a problem anyway? A little sin is not enough to send you to hell is it?  The truth is that we serve a holy and just God.  He has decreed that “The wages of sin is death...” (Romans 6:23) This is the penalty for all sin, even the smallest forms.  When the Bible refers to death in this case it does not mean mere physical death, it primarily refers to eternal death and separation from God—an eternity in hell. 3. Jesus Paid the Price
The Gospel does not end with the consequences of sin. “For God so loved the world that he gave, his only begotten son...” (John 3:16)  Jesus Christ came “to give his life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)  He is the only “way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), for he is the only "name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)  Need to know more? Click here.

4. Saving Faith vs. Simple Belief (Count the Cost)
Jesus said “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24). What does this mean? And why are there so many who claim that the Christain life doesn't work after they have tried it? Further, why do some appear to fall away from faith in Christ? Click here for the answer.

5. Freedom in Christ!
Coming to Christ is not an emotional experience (although it can be filled with emotion), but rather coming to Christ is being willing to give up what ever he tells you in order to follow him.  It is placing your faith in Him and Him alone for your salvation.  It is asking Him to forgive you for all your sins and claiming Him as the Lord of your life.  It means that you have faith in Him that He will do what he said he will do.  Though we may not always understand what is going on around us we are always looking to him in faith.

What about you my friend? Do you you understand the problem that all of us face?  Do you know that it is only through Jesus that this problem can be fixed? Do you have saving faith in Christ? Have you commited your life to Christ?  If not I urge you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ today.  Pour out your heart to God.  Tell Him your need of a savior.  Ask His pardon for your sins.  Accept Christ as the payent for your sins.  Make Him the Lord of your life!

Where do I go from here?
If you have just followed the above steps and recieved Christ as your personal savior then you are now a member of the body of Christ. An international fellowship of believers! Perhaps the most important thing for you to do now is to get a copy of the Bible and read it as often as you can. As you read seek to apply everything that you learn to your life. Take the time to read it through from cover to cover and then again! You can never get enough of the Word of God.

Also, be sure to get in touch with a local church that believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Make sure they are also seeking to apply God's Word to their lives, never let someone tell you that the Bible is not true. It is the only book that is without error. Remember, it was written by God through men. He made sure they got it written down right!

I'd enjoy hearing from you and would especially like to know your personal testimony. If you have a chance send me your personal testimony by clicking here.
